Our Story
Mr. Dwight Preston, a native of Hardin County, brings both passion and precision to the legal field. After earning his legal degree in San Diego and being admitted to the bar in 1974, Dwight made the deliberate choice to return to his hometown of Elizabethtown. There, he began his practice under the mentorship of the esteemed Paul Lewis (retired), who introduced him to the courtroom and helped shape his early legal career.
Dwight quickly gained a reputation for his tireless work ethic and sharp courtroom presence. Known for his fierce advocacy when it matters most, he approaches each case with an uncompromising commitment to justice—ensuring no detail is overlooked and no client is left unheard.
Experience That Inspires Trust
Mr. Preston’s distinguished career includes a decade of public service as Commonwealth’s Attorney for Hardin County (1982–1992), and previously as Hardin County Attorney (1978–1982). His deep understanding of both criminal prosecution and defense gives our firm a valuable, balanced perspective.
He is an active member of the Hardin County Bar Association and the Kentucky Bar Association, and remains deeply connected to the legal and civic fabric of the community he serves.
